Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 6, 2026

The service

These terms govern your use of the Cadru service. Please read them carefully - by using the service you accept them in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Use of the service

You undertake to use the service lawfully and in good faith, not to upload illegal content or content that infringes others' rights, and not to disrupt the operation or security of the service.

Account and access

Some features require an account. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and for activity carried out through it. You may request account closure at any time.

Who can have an account

You can open an account on your own from age 16. Under 16, only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. An account is personal: do not lend it, and do not open accounts in someone else's name.

Accepting the terms

When you open an account we ask you to accept these terms and the Community rules, with a tick. We keep the date and the version you accepted. Without accepting you cannot use the account, but you can read them any time.

Your content

You retain the rights to the photographs and content you upload. You grant us a limited right to store and process them solely to provide the service to you.

The service is not a storage or backup service. We recommend keeping your own copies of your photos. We may remove anonymous or abandoned drafts after a period of inactivity.

Free account limits, and how long we keep things

Cadru is a workshop where you make albums, carousels and zines, not a storage service. The free account has the limits below, and what you no longer use is removed automatically after the periods shown.

WhatLimit (free account)How long we keep it
Album without an account30 photos48 hours from the last activity
Saved album, never exported5 albums, 200 photos per album30 days without activity
Exported album (print PDF made)-the photos: 180 days without activity; the PDF stays downloadable 15 more days
Album ordered in print-the photos: 365 days without activity; the PDF 15 more days

Carousel sent by email without an account-30 days
A photo removed from a carousel or zine-24 hours
Carousel published to the Cadru Feedwith an account and your consent onlywhile it is published - not deleted for inactivity; you can take it out any time, and deleting the carousel or the account removes it from the Feed too. We may hide a carousel that breaks the rules
Unpublished zine10 zines30 days without activity
Zine published to the Feed-while the account exists
Album published to the Cadru Feeda print-ready album only, with your consent (and that of the people in the photos)while it is published - its photos are not deleted for inactivity; you can take it out any time. We may take out of the Feed an album that breaks the rules
Total storage in the account1 GB-

Before anything is removed from an account you get a warning email and 14 days to react: the "Keep it" button in the email, opening and editing, or exporting stops the removal and the period starts again. The removal date also shows in your account, on each album, carousel or zine. For everything that existed before 30 October 2026, the periods count from that date.

Always keep your own copies of your photos and exported files. Paid plans, which we will announce, will raise the limits.

Carousels and zines made on a free account carry a small mark on their last page, "made with cadru.photo". Free use comes with it: do not remove, cover or crop it, and do not remake the pages outside Cadru to be rid of it - neither you nor an AI assistant on your behalf. Paid plans will be able to do without it.

Content rules

By uploading content you confirm that:

  • you own the rights to it - you are the author or have a licence/permission;
  • you have the consent of identifiable people shown (especially minors);
  • you do not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property rights;
  • the content is not illegal, violent, obscene, and does not incite hatred, discrimination or harassment;
  • it contains no child sexual abuse material - zero tolerance; we remove it and report it to the authorities;
  • it contains no pornography, sexually explicit material, or intimate images shared without consent;
  • it does not expose other people's personal data without the right to do so (identity documents, addresses, contact, medical or financial details);
  • it does not impersonate anyone or present false or misleading information;
  • it does not promote terrorism, extremism, drugs, weapons or other illegal activity;
  • it contains no malware, fraudulent links, phishing or spam;

We review content automatically and manually. We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close accounts for repeated or serious violations.

What you publish, and the community

What you make stays private until you choose to publish it to the Cadru Feed or send a link. From then on anyone can see, like and comment on it, and we may show it on Cadru (for example among the week's picks) with your account name.

The "Make one like it" button beside a published work takes only the arrangement of its pages - never your photos or your words. Publishing means you accept this.

You can take a work out of the Feed at any time. How to behave in comments, reactions and tags is set out in the Community rules (cadru.photo/rules), which are part of these terms.

Reporting, and what we do

If you see something that breaks the rules, use the report button beside the work or comment, or write to us. We look quickly; illegal content comes down at once. For a breach we may remove the content, give a warning, suspend the account for a while or close it; for serious breaches, straight away and without warning. We tell you what we did and why, and if you disagree you can write to us and we look again.

AI assistants

If you connect Cadru to an AI assistant (for example through our connector), the assistant works in your account on your behalf: what it does counts as done by you, and these rules apply to it the same way. You can remove its access at any time.

The human designer

When you ask a Cadru designer for help, they can open and edit the work you called them for, only while they work on it. They have no access to the rest of the account.

Orders, prices and delivery

Some features may be paid. The price is shown before you place an order, and the order becomes firm on confirmation. Printing and delivery may be carried out by third-party partners; delivery times are estimates and may vary by partner and destination.

Availability and changes

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change or withdraw features and may suspend the service for maintenance. We make reasonable efforts for availability and security.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of content resulting from your not keeping your own copies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the last-updated date shown above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept them.

When we change something important, we ask for your consent again the next time you sign in.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova.
